Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Tatiana Chulochnikova began playing violin at the age of seven and made her debut as a concerto soloist at fourteen with the Kharkiv Philharmonic.

The highlights of Tatiana’s 2025–26 season include appearances as a violin soloist and guest director with American Bach (San Francisco) the Folger Consort and the Washington Bach Consort (Washington,DC), Abendmusic (NYC), Pratum Integrum and Collegium Musicum(Moscow).

In the 2024–25 season, the geography of Tatiana’s performances ranged from the West Coast of the United States to Yerevan, Armenia. Highlights of recent seasons also include debuts at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as solo and chamber music performances in various venues across Chicago, San Francisco, Innsbruck, Rome, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Tatiana has collaborated with such conductors as Stefano Montanari, Christopher Hogwood, Philippe Herreweghe, Theodor Currentzis, Andrew Parrott, William Christie, and Pierre Boulez.

A critically acclaimed international recording artist, Tatiana recorded her second solo CD album, Meditations and Reflections, in the Netherlands in November 2018. Released worldwide on the Steinway & Sons label (New York, USA) in the fall of 2019, the album received enthusiastic reviews. For instance, American Record Guide described Tatiana as a “talented and interesting artist to watch.”

Tatiana’s debut solo album (2016), released worldwide on Toccata Classics (London, UK), featured the world premiere recording of violin music by Ukrainian composer Theodore Akimenko. Fanfare Magazine (USA) called it “a fascinating release”, while Classica Magazine (France) described it as a performance with “total commitment and a free lyricism that goes straight to the heart.”

Tatiana holds degrees from the Juilliard School, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and the Oberlin Conservatory, where she studied with Monica Huggett, Dmitry Sinkovsky, and Marilyn McDonald. She has also participated in violin masterclasses with John Holloway, Riccardo Minasi, and Rachel Podger.
